The holiday season makes most of us excited to see the look on our loved ones' faces when we give them their gifts. The gift you give them does not have to break the bank for it to be sentimental and special. Here's a list of my all-time favorite D.I.Y handmade gifts to give my loved ones.

Hair Bonnets

You can customize the hair bonnets based on the fabric, color, and size. I recommend using satin fabric for the interior of the bonnet. Heat transfer vinyl is a great option for adding monograms and names.

Wave Caps

Velvet fabric is in season for wave caps but you can also customize these based on fabric, color and size. Heat transfer vinyl looks great on these as well!

Custom Sweatshirts/T-shirts

Printable iron-on vinyl sheets can transform any sweatshirt into a very personalized gift. You can create a design in Procreate, Canva, or Adobe and print it on the sheet to iron onto your shirt. Hand embroidery can add special details to this gift. These gifts are usually a hit with everyone!

Dishtowels

Whether you sew, crochet, or knit, personalized dishtowels are precious and appreciated. You can easily customize these by color, fabric, yarn, and size. If you decide to use yarn, please ensure the yarn is machine washable.

Body Butter & Sugar Scrub

Body Butter is by far my favorite gift to D.I.Y. It is easy to customize by simply changing the fragrance used in each. You can also customize the jar and make it unique for your loved one.

I suggest bundling the body butter & sugar scrub with the hair bonnet and wave caps to make a personalized Beauty Box.

Bible Study Bundle

Now here's a gift that keeps on giving. Grab a cute basket. Fill it with customized Bible tabs, pens, and journals. Add some of your favorite tea packs, a cute mug (this could be personalized too), and some honey and sugar cubes. Add a sincere note and prayer card and wrap it in clear cellophane plastic.

Scarf & Gloves

If you're up to it, you could sew, crochet, or knit these and customize them based on color and size. However, if you're not wanting to make a scarf & gloves by hand, you could buy a set and customize them by hand embroidering their name or ironing on heat transfer vinyl.

Brownie Mix

Grab a Mason jar, fill it with your favorite brownie mix, and create a cute direction card.

You can customize this gift by including their favorite toppings like M&Ms, toffee pieces and walnuts. These make for a great family gift.

Coffee & Tea Basket

Grab a cute basket. Fill it with your favorite teas and coffee. Add flavored syrups, honey, sugar, and a mug. Wrap it with cellophane and add a ribbon.

Car Decals & Stickers

Grab your favorite permanent vinyl and customize your loved one's favorite saying or character. You can use printable vinyl also, but be sure to laminate them to make them weather proof.
